RICK KELLEY, Development and Sales, comes to Safe Haven with a successful ten-year background in sales and marketing. Rick brings his wisdom and skills in sales and marketing to Safe Haven to support general operating needs as well as to increase enrollment of students in the Youth Futures International programs. Rick’s most recent success for Safe Haven involves several fundraisers, including a comedy show fundraiser, the annual nation-wide raffle, and the sale of a donated Shelby Mustang. As with other leaders in Safe Haven, Rick is a former student of CEO Dave Butler at Turners Falls High School in Montague, MA and a graduate of Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. In his personal time Rick Enjoys skiing, soccer, traveling, and woodworking.
SHANNON MARTINEAU, Business Manager, has had several volunteer experiences with the Safe Haven Project since 1996. As a former student of CEO Dave Butler, Shannon was an important friend to many children living with HIV that would visit and present at HIV assemblies at Turners Falls High School in Massachusetts. Due to a trusted relationship with Butler and her experiences with the children that would visit the school, Shannon then went on to volunteer at Camp Safe Haven Maryland as a counselor. In 2004, Shannon accompanied Safe Haven Project CEO Dave Butler to Ghana, West Africa for World AIDS Day presentations in Humjibre, Ghana and also served as photographer for the many activities that took place that week. Beginning in October 2011, Shannon brought her financial management skills to the Safe Haven Project in serving as the organizations business manager. Shannon will work closely with CEO Butler and CPA Marsha Foos to make sure the Safe Haven Project is always in financial good standing and accountability. Shannon currently serves as a Manager for the Vermont Federal Credit Union in Burlington, VT and prior to that with Wells Fargo Bank and Citizens Bank in Colorado. Shannon is excited and happy to provide her professional financial skills to the Safe Haven Project, Inc.
LINDA FASCI, Nursing Program Director, has been part of The Safe Haven Project since 1995. Her involvement with the organization started as a volunteer. After that she received her degree in nursing training while attending Boston’s Lawrence Memorial Hospital then acquired her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During her 13 years as a Nurse, Ms. Fasci has volunteered as an EMT while working in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, as well as in numerous rural and critical trauma settings and home health environments. Ms. Fasci is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Nursing – Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a sub specialty in HIV / AIDS.
JOYLNN NOVAK, Administrative Assistant to the CEO, first became part of The Safe Haven Project in 1994 while attending Turners Falls High School in Massachusetts where she was one of Dave Butler’s students. During that time she was part of a successful North East regional committee that helped raise funds for Camp Safe Haven Martha’ s Vineyard. Currently, while working on the day to day progression of Safe Haven, Jolynn also assists with volunteer recruitment, fund raising efforts, and is the editor of the quarterly Safe Haven on-line newsletter. Jolynn also accompanies CEO Butler to various speaking engagements and other important meetings and presentations. Jolynn is the proud mother of a beautiful daughter, Jaylice, and enjoys participating in activities with her daughter and enjoying time with family and friends.
