Why Volunteer?
Why should I volunteer?
It’s simple.
Volunteering provides an opportunity to work and interact with people from different walks of life, while providing valuable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and commitment to something above and beyond our daily existence.
While many volunteer opportunities are available both here and abroad, people tend to choose organizations where they have at least some personal attachment to the cause, which leads to a unique sense of fulfillment.
By its very nature, volunteerism is an act deeply rooted in the human spirit. It’s about listening, caring and responding to the needs of others. It’s also about being aware of those around you who are less fortunate, usually by chance or the result of circumstances and events beyond their control.
The Safe Haven Project depends on the efforts of dedicated volunteers to achieve its goals. Many varied opportunities are available that can provide a deep and fulfilling experience, as well as a sense of connectedness with the rest of the world.
